The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The comedian

Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.

The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

An Illustrious Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.

He has published over four dozen titles altogether, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

From Screen to Page

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
